26 Week Bumpdate (Scallion)
how far along: 26 Weeks
size of baby: Ear of Corn 14.02 in., 1.68 lb
total weight gain: 14 lbs
favorite clothes: Leggings, all week or Zach’s boxers. I didn’t really have to leave the house much this week so it was easy to wear lounge clothes. Seeing as I only have three shirts that fit now lol, I am going to have to breakdown and go get some more tops.
symptoms: I am beginning to hurt. If I stand or walk for too long my feet swell a tiny bit and they start to hurt pretty bad. The evenings were pretty rough for me this week. I was so exhausted and hurting. Luckily Zach was on nights so I had the whole bed to myself. Once I can lay down at the end of the day the pain seems to subside.
sleep: Not too bad this week, I haven’t had to get up to go to the bathroom too much. Also the hip pain hasn’t been as bad. I did wake up the past two mornings with a lot of lower back pain from rolling onto my back during sleep. I have had some crazy dreams this week, but I have slept well.
must-haves: Water of course, all day I am thirsty! I have started drinking these meal replacement smoothies for lunch and they are SOOO good. I am going to write a post about that later this week though. So you can expect the recipe and what healthy things I am changing in my life to be posted soon! Either way the smoothie is good. Since it curbs my midday sweet tooth it is now a must have.
cravings: Sugar, sugar and of course more sugar. With all these Cadbury Eggs my hubs bought me it is a struggle to limit myself to one a day!
baby movement: It is actually becoming painful when he moves his entire body around. If he is just kicking it is fine and that has slowed down some.
gender: Boy and we have a name… Alexander James Zechman. I am so excited to get the nursery done now that I have a name to incorporate in the decor!
husband: Has been like a ghost since he is on night shift. I only see him for a few minutes in the morning. Then again right before he leaves in the evening. He finally committed to a name that so that is wonderful!
best moment this week: The older kids were gone Wednesday night at Granny’s, which happened to be Zach’s only night off. So it was just Zach, Tom and me all evening. We went to IHOP for dinner, since I am craving sugar so bad haha I wanted a big stack of pancakes. They have these tasty ones right now with strawberries and cream, it was delicious. Anyway we came home, bathed Tom, and Zach and I actually got to watch a movie together… in bed… WITHOUT pressing pause one time! It was some nice time alone.
From newborn through the first year. Schedules with each transitional phase in mind.
