27 Week Bumpdate (Head of Cauliflower)
how far along: 27 Weeks
size of baby: Head of Cauliflower 14.4 in., 1.93 lb
total weight gain: 15 lbs
favorite clothes: If it were acceptable to walk around in my undies that is what I would be doing, but since it isn’t and the kids are back in school which means carpooling again, I have been wearing actual clothes lol. Shorts because it is so hot and leggings are basically all that is comfy. I wore jeans to church on Sunday and wanted to rip them off by the time the service was over!
symptoms: Bathroom breaks are becoming pretty frequent. Also noticing that I am having to take a small rest between my daily cleaning chores and if I pick Tom up and walk around with him I am so out of breath afterward. Pain has subsided from last week and that was great! Still lower back pain, but not unbearable and braxton hicks.
sleep: Terrible. I have been having bad dreams almost nightly and Zach has been on nights quite a bit this month and out of town for a few days this week so I have been waking up at all hours of the night with bad anxiety and fear someone is breaking in. I know it sounds dramatic, but it is my truth lol! No one has broken in of course, but my sleep has been almost non existent.
must-haves: Water of course, all day I am thirsty! Meal replacement smoothies at night instead of dinner has eased so much night time heartburn! Also it has eased the pain I am in, I guess from eating too much at dinner, at night. They are so yummy and good for you and since they are sweet it makes it easy to resist sweet treats in the middle of the night lol.
cravings: Milkshakes, ice cream, and soy sauce. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it is what I want, that doesn’t mean I get to have it though haha.
baby movement: It is actually becoming painful when he moves his entire body around. If he is just kicking it is fine and that has slowed down some. He is still so low and I can only feel him right on my pelvic bone and by my belly button. I wish he would move up some.
gender: Boy, Alexander James!
husband: His grandfather passed away on Easter so he had to go up to OH for the funeral. My oldest daughter had state testing so we couldn’t all go, but he was upset and prayers for his family are welcome!
best moment this week: My wonderful Grandma agreed to make the baby bedding and curtains for me. Paying for some Etsy shop owner to make them would be WAY too expensive for our six person family budget, so having her skilled hands do it for me has saved a ton of money and it is such a wonderful gift from her and my Mama. I cannot wait to see it (yes, I will get the measurements to you soon, Grandma lol). 13 weeks to go!
This is our inspiration and I LOVE it! You can check out their entire post here! I love Caden Lane!
