34 Week Bumpdate (Cantaloupe)
how far along: 34 Weeks
size of baby: Cantaloupe 18 in., 4.7 lb
total weight gain: 22 lbs
favorite clothes: Loose shorts, sandals and flowy tops.
symptoms: My pain and exhaustion has eased up significantly so I am guessing Alex was having a growth spurt and that was the cause of my issues. I have had quite a bit of heartburn this week, I have eaten A LOT of red sauce though lol so I am to blame. Braxton hicks are becoming more intense and more frequent. Swelling has also started if I sit or am in the heat for more than twenty minutes.
sleep: Tolerable. I am not sleeping as well as I would like to, but I know what the end of pregnancy is like and was anticipating lack of sleep at the end. I am just up most of the night for the bathroom and because I am uncomfortable.
must-haves: Water, heart burn medicine, sports bra, pillow to ease night time issues and my planner because I am getting more forgetful.
cravings: Sugar, french fries, nachos.
baby movement: Since there is less room in there I can’t feel him moving fast and wild anymore. He definitely has specific times throughout the day that he is active. It is just slow and intense movement though lol. No more dance parties for Alex until he comes out I guess!
gender: Boy, Alexander James!
husband: We went to Florida for a few days this week to drop my daughter off for her visit with my mom. Zach had so much fun with the kids. I cannot express how much my heart swelled watching him and the kids play. They were able to swim for hours and play out in the water together. He took the kids down on the dock to watch the Air Force do their training missions across the sound. My mom lives on the water right by Hurlbert AFB, so they do their training missions in view of her backyard. Zach just is such a good dad. He thinks he won’t have room in his heart for another baby. I know he definitely will though.
best moment this week: Seeing family on my Florida trip.
From newborn through the first year. Schedules with each transitional phase in mind.
