37 Week Bumpdate (Bunch of Swiss Chard)
how far along: 37 Weeks
size of baby: Bunch of Swiss Chard 19 in., 6.3 lb
total weight gain: 26 lbs
favorite clothes: Maternity tanks, leggings, and sandals.
symptoms: Contractions on and off, they are a bit painful, but certainly not signalling labor for me. So this itching I have been having on my feet and hands has seemed to subside. My doctor ran some bloodwork that must’ve come back okay because I haven’t heard from the office. She did give me a stronger antihistamine and after I took that one time I haven’t had an issue. My biggest problem this week has been just walking around. It is getting difficult to walk in general, I feel like a slow old woman who should have a walker haha! Oh and the swelling is still happening no matter how much water I drink or how many pillow I have my feet propped on.
sleep: What is sleep!? I am either in the bathroom or switching between my right and left side all night long haha. I have been in A LOT of pain at night and the minute I lay down to get cozy it sets in even more. Trying to get out of the bed during the night to pee has been very difficult and I hurt incredibly bad.
must-haves: Water, lotion, and pillows for foot propping and hip pain.
cravings: Oh goodness the sugar craving is getting so bad, I am really irritated with it.
baby movement: Well since the amount of space in my belly is slim to none he isn’t moving around too much. He has hiccups often though and stretches occasionally throughout the day, but that’s about all my poor boy can do right now.
gender: Boy, Alexander James!
husband: Was super excited to get to do some stuff with the nursery this time. I always build everything and get stuff put together since he is working and I like to get it done. I waited this time though and he was able to get the nursery put together with me and build the dresser. He is just awesome and I am excited to be raising another child with him.
best moment this week: Getting the nursery done, carseat ready, and the diaper bag packed. I am waiting on my daughter to come home from her trip to back my hospital bag because she has the duffel bag I want to use so I will feel very relieved as soon as that is done as well, that’ll be done next week. Aside from that though we are ready for him to be here! Only three more weeks!
From newborn through the first year. Schedules with each transitional phase in mind.
