39 Week Bumpdate (Mini Watermelon)
how far along: 39 Weeks
size of baby: Mini Watermelon 20 in., 7.2 lb
total weight gain: 30 lbs
favorite clothes: Well seeing as I only have a handful of shirts that still fit and I refuse to buy anything else so close to my due date I don’t have many options lol. I just want something loose and comfortable.
symptoms: Contractions have been happening more frequently. The past two nights I have been up most of the night with erratic contractions. I am very tired and in pain a lot, but haven’t had much heartburn or shortness of breath so that is a big plus.
sleep: I have had a night or two that was okay, but between extreme pain and bathroom trips I don’t get much sleep right now. And like I said, the past two nights have been full of pain and contractions so hardly any sleep at all.
must-haves: Pillows, pillows, and more pillows so I can be somewhat comfortable. Tylenol.
cravings: Sugar is really starting to become an issue, I want it all the time and it is so frustrating because I cannot have it 24/7 obviously. I am doing my best to eat in moderation, it is a daily struggle though.
baby movement: He flips around a few times a day and has hiccups daily, but there isn’t room for him to have his dance parties anymore for sure.
gender: Boy, Alexander James!
husband: He has been on nights this week and has two more nights left, this was the week we did not want to go into labor so he is just hoping to get through these last two nights labor free lol. He is getting so excited though and just trying to help me out as much as he can with the kids in the short time before work each day.
best moment this week: Tom is FINALLY, I say that as if we have been trying for so long lol it has been literally two weeks, not getting out of the big boy bed at nap and bedtime! Since Zach works so much it was really wearing me down constantly putting him back into his bed four or five times twice a day, especially in the evening when I am completely drained. Having him stay in bed when it is time for sleep before the baby comes is just wonderful.
From newborn through the first year. Schedules with each transitional phase in mind.
